Attorney Spirer has represented the Interfaith Housing Association for over ten years, providing pro bono legal counsel for numerous matters. This is one of many letters that he has received from them:

Dear Alan:

Thank you for representing us at the two closings yesterday and the one in December. You are one of the greatest assets to IHA. Your wisdom and professional expertise have been crucial at many junctures in our history and I expect will continue to be important into the future. I appreciate your commitment to the work we do in Westport and your willingness to back up that commitment with a heavy investment of your time. When I watch other lawyers work I am invariably impressed with how easily you direct us through the paperwork and negotiations. Your outstanding mastery of your profession never fails to make us look good.

As you are aware, this project has been a long time in the making and issues surrounding it are probably never ending. However, you have shepherded us into a new phase of our existence and thereby made it possible for Westport to provide permanent housing in eight apartments to individuals and families who otherwise would have no hope of living here. This means that we will be able to provide them with the caseowrk they need, the socialization they desire and the stability that will enable the quality of their lives to improve.
